Welcome
Texas and the nation are facing a critical shortage of registered nurses (RNs).
To address the nursing education capacity, the Texas Department of State Health Services created the Texas Center for Nursing Workforce Studies, which reported that nursing schools are not equipped to produce sufficient RNs to meet the healthcare demands through 2020.
Between 2005 and 2020, demand for RNs is expected to increase by 86 percent and supply by only 53 percent. By 2013, one of the goals is to double the number of initial RN graduates from Texas Schools of Nursing to 15,199 — 18,000 by 2015 and 25,000 by 2020.
In the meantime, however, the Texas nursing shortage is still on the critical needs list, which means even nurses have their own critical needs.
Deans of nursing schools need faculty and students, and construction of new campus facilities. Chief nursing officers at major hospitals and healthcare facilities need RNs to care for Texas’ growing patient population, which could easily be you and your family ….today and tomorrow.
To manage the marketing needs, nurses and healthcare facilities need a central line of communications for: educational information, career transformation and peer inspiration.
RNspiration. Educational Sources. Professional Resources.
